Steelers Vintage Apparel is worn by many faithful Steelers fans. The Steelers have one of the most storied histories of any NFL franchise. They’ve won the most Super Bowls, and there are tons of Hall of Famers on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. There are many different Steelers vintage items available.
Which piece of Steelers Vintage Apparel should you get? That is, of course, personal preference. My favorite vintage items are the jerseys, so that’s where I would start. If you decide to buy a Steelers Vintage Jersey, then you’ll have to decide which player you want. Here are some suggestions:
Ben Roethlisberger Vintage Jersey – My favorite Steelers Jersey right now is the Ben Roethlisberger vintage. This is a great buy, because Ben is a great player right now, and he will be looked at as a great player as time goes on. You could wear the vintage Ben jersey 20 years from now, and it will still be cool. I really like the old school black jersey with all yellow lettering and numbering.
Jack Lambert or Mean Joe Greene Jersey – Pittsburgh’s identity as a team started to take shape with the Steel Curtain defense. The Steel Curtain played a physical, gritty, smashmouth type of game. Two guys who represent this great era of Steeler football are Jack Lambert and Joe Greene. Even though I was never able to watch a live game (I wasn’t born yet), I still respect and admire what these two, and their teammates, were able to accomplish.
Jerome Bettis Jersey – Even though Jerome had some harsh criticism for this years Steelers team, he is still one of the best Running Backs that the Steelers have had. If you aren’t a Bettis fan, and are looking for a Running Back jersey, Franco Harris would be a great jersey to have as well. After all, Franco was involved in one of the most incredible plays in NFL history, the Immaculate Reception.

They are unique, and people will notice and probably ask about them if you go to a game. The classic Steeler look is always a favorite. If you are looking for something to lounge around the house on a sunday morning while cooking breakfast and watching Steeler pregame, you could opt for a boxer short style of Steelers Underwear. I was just recently shopping for some boxer shorts, and was surprised by what I found. These things can be expensive! I usually get enough boxers and socks for Christmas that I don’t need to by any. But, I’ve gained some weight recently, and need a little more “breathing room” lol. Before I bought any underwear at the store, I came online and looked around. I figured if I’m going to wear underwear, why wouldn’t I wear Steelers underwear? I have Steelers t-shirts, Steelers hats, and all sorts of Steelers accessories, so why wouldn’t I wear Steelers underwear?
I was very surprised by what I found when I started to look around. Normally, stuff with the Steelers logo on it means it’s going to cost a lot more than something without the logo. With the underwear, it seems that the price is in roughly the same range as a normal pair of underwear! Sweet! Just another excuse to wear another piece of Steeler flair.

The number 1 thing that your underwear must be, is clean. Keep that area clean! 
With white linens: Try something flesh colored. Nobody will be able to see the panties if they are flesh colored. If you are really looking to get rid of panty lines, consider a thong or nothing at all.

Steelers T-Shirts come in all shapes and sizes. There are tons of different styles of Steelers T-Shirts; I prefer the simplest one. An all black T-Shirt with the Steelers logo prominently emblazoned across the front of it. The T-shirt with “Steelers” written out in the famous font is great too, but I prefer the look of the logo that goes on the helmet.
My First Steeler T-Shirt
I remember my first Steelers T-Shirt that I got when I was 15 years old. When I was young, I was a Barry Foster fanboy. One of my cousins gave me a 1992 Topps Team Leader card featuring Foster, and that somehow sparked my love for everything black and gold. I began collecting Steelers merchandise after that. Christmas was really good to me that year, because I ended up with my first of many Steelers T-Shirts. I got a T-Shirt that was similar to a jersey replica. It was black, had the white #29, and said “Foster” across the back in yellow font. I thought I was the coolest kid around. The banter between me and my friends (Browns and Dolphins fans) was good too. Unfortunately, the shirt didn’t last me too long; I wore the thing nearly every day and it started to get some holes in it. The good thing is, I needed a new piece of Steelers gear, so I got myself a Barry Foster replica jersey. I threw in a Steelers hat too, just for the hell of it.
People I’ve met with Steelers T-shirts
I live in Michigan right now. I’ve never been to Pittsburgh in my life. I can’t even imagine how many Steelers fans there are in Pittsburgh, but Detroit seems to have quite a few fans. It’s probably because the Lions stink so bad, and everyone needs a second team to root for around here. Anyways, I do see quite a few people wearing Steeler T-Shirts around here, and it’s always fun to interact with them. I was at a Detroit Tiger’s game once, and saw a guy walking around in a Hines Ward Jersey. He was with his family, and they were all dressed in black and gold. How could I not say something to this guy? I went over to him and his family while they were eating their just-purchased coney dogs, and said, “STEEEEELERRRRRSSSS RUUUUUUUUUUUULLEEEEE$vvgergfscfsf”. They all thought it was hilarious, and I just started laughing too. We talked for a bit, and I found out they lived in Pittsburgh, and were just visiting relatives in Detroit. There are many other Steeler fans who I have gone out of my way to talk to, and they are always very receptive.

My household actually just picked up a Steelers thong this Christmas. I had been browsing another site and came across a Steelers thong I had never seen before. I told my wife to come check it out. She seemed to dig it, so I figured it’d be a good idea to get her one as a stocking stuffer. When I went to buy it from the site I found it on, they didn’t have any left. I bought her Steelers pajamas and used those instead.
When I arrived at my parents’ house for Christmas festivities, my brother said he was super excited to watch me open my gift. It actually said both me and my wife’s name on the package, so I let her open it up. It was a black Steelers thong with the Steelers logo on the front part. The waistband was yellow, and says Steelers in black letters all the way around. My wife was a little embarrassed, but she really liked the gift. And so did I.

Cheeky: Has a lot of material at the top. Makes the bottom of the butt look great.

Steelers Sweatshirts and Fleeces are a great way for any Steeler fan to show their Steelers pride when it gets a little chilly outside. These Steelers Sweatshirts and Fleeces come in all different styles, and all different colors. They are also Steelers Sweatshirts for Women available.
Steelers Sweatshirts and Fleeces:
I’ve owned Steelers sweatshirts and fleeces since before I can remember. My first Steelers fleece was all black, with a super elastic band at the bottom of the shirt. I remember this because it was actually very uncomfortable. But did I wear it anyway? You’re damn right I did.
Here’s a list of some of the different types of Steelers sweatshirts and fleeces available, and some of the advantages and disadvantages of each:
Hoody: The ultimate gameday sweatshirt is a Steelers hoody. If you didn’t already know, a hoody is simply a sweatshirt, usually pretty thick, that has a hood on it. Many hoodies have a pouch pocket in the front, useful for putting your accessories, or warming your hands. Hoodies are super diverse; they are commonly used for lounging around or working out. Hoodies are not recommended for anything formal. They are generally an ultra casual item. The type of hoody I prefer is thick, loose, has two pockets in the front, and a zipper. And it has to have a Steelers logo on it, of course.
Crew Neck Sweatshirt: These are not as popular with the youth as a hoody. For some, a hoody is too bulky, so they choose a more traditional crew neck sweatshirt.
Fleece: A great item to wear to Heinz Field for the big game would be a Steelers fleece. A fleece is characterized by its light weight, softness, warmth, and comfort. Fleece is probably the best choice for outdoor wear, because it hold water. It allows perspiration to pass thru, while remaining dry. The tradeoff for all these great qualities, is that fleece is highly flammable. Also, because fleece is porous, it is not a great insulator in windy conditions.
Women’s: Women’s Steelers Sweatshirts and Fleeces are very similar to the men’s versions. There are many of the same styles. The main difference is that sweatshirts and fleeces for women tend to fit a lot tighter. If you are a woman who is looking for something more baggy and comfortable, then you might have to consider looking at some of the smaller size men’s sweatshirts and fleeces.
There are many varieties of Steelers hats. They range from a plain black hat with the Steelers logo on the front, to some of the more modern looks with gradient fills. My personal favorite is the fitted all black baseball hat with the Steelers logo on the front of it. I haven’t seen an all black one with the Steelers letters in yellow stitched onto the front, but I think that would be pretty cool too.
There are, of course, other types of Steelers hats than baseball hats. I own a knitted winter hat that I got from my brother for Christmas. It is great for keeping my ears warm on cold winter days while I’m shoveling snow.
I actually have a pretty interesting story involving my Steelers hat. I had an experience that was similar to the one I describe in Steelers T-Shirts, because it involves me randomly stopping and talking to someone simply because of the way they are dressed.
I live on a dirt road in Michigan. In the winter, our street is usually covered with snow. When you have a sweet car like I do (2003 Chevy Cavalier), there usually aren’t any problems. So I’m cruising down my street after a hard days work, rockin’ my Steelers hat, and I see a person trying to dig their car out of the snow. This guy got stuck on my street, unfortunately, because he did not have a car as sweet as my Cavalier. Luckily for him, he didn’t leave his house without his Steeler Sweatpants on. I spotted the sign of his allegiance to the Steelers, because gold lettered Steelers font was very bright. I knew I would be in good company as I helped shovel this poor guy out of the snow. I stopped my car next to him and said “Hey man, Steelers ROCK! Need some help?”. He responded with a jubilant “Hell YEAH!”. If I hadn’t had been sporting my Steelers hat that day, I would have 1.) not had a hat on, and been too cold to stop and help this guy, or 2.) not fully endeared myself to this fellow before interacting with him.
It’s amazing how a team can bring people together. If that were a Browns fan, or someone wearing a scummy Ohio State jersey or something like that, I would have left them on the side of the road.
A nice pair of Steelers earrings is a great way for any girl to accessorize for the big games! For warm days, SteelersGear.net recommends a black steeler logo emblazoned short-sleeved Steelers T-shirt with some silver steeler earrings. Different kinds of Steelers Earrings:
Steelers Hoop Earrings – Women feel radiant in hoop earrings. Most that I’ve talked to prefer the 14k gold hoop earrings. Something about this type of earrings makes them feel extra special. Smaller hoop earrings are good for accents. Larger hoop earrings make a statement all on their own.
Steelers Dangly Earrings – Dangly earrings are great for showing off some collar bone. They add splash of elegance and a dash of charm. Dangly earrings really catch the eye. Apparently it is also fun to play with them while driving.
Steelers Logo Earrings – I think the best looking earrings are the ones with a Steelers logo. I prefer silver, so a silver earring that hangs just below the ear, with the circular Steeler logo would be perfect for my wife. Make sure you clip your hair back when you’re wearing some of these logo earrings. You’ll want everyone to see them.

Try on different earring styles to see what looks good on you. It’s tough to say that any one type of earring looks good all the time, because people have all different shapes of faces, and styles of hair.
Small gold hoops can add a classic look to whatever you choose to wear to work. A larger size or subtle design can make you even more stylish for days that you may have an event going on.
Don’t be afraid to try different colors and shapes. There are all sorts of different styles, (dangly, hoop), materials, and designs that allow you conjure up a great unique look.
Try different earrings to find the ones that you are most comfortable with. I mean actual comfort with the earring in your ear. There are different types of wire styles, and some are more comfortable than others. Try them out and see what you like best. If you are unable to find a style that fits comfortably, you may want to look at clip-on earrings.
If you really want your earrings to make an impact, make sure you clip your hair back to expose them for all to see!

Terrible Towel - The terrible towel is a symbol of the Pittsburgh Steelers fans. It is one of the best known symbol of any sports team in the United States. Many o’ towels can be seen at Heinz Field, as well as opposing teams stadiums. If you are going to a game, make sure you’ve got one.
Steelers Christmas Ornaments – Ornaments are a great way to show your family what some of your interests are. Of course, you are going to have generic ornaments, and ornaments that have pictures of the kids on them. But there’s nothing wrong with showcasing the team that you spend every Sunday with for months at a time during the year!
Steelers Earrings – For the lady Steeler fans out there, and some dudes I guess, Steelers earrings are a great accessory. You will endear yourself to any fellow Steeler fan when they see that you aren’t just rollin’ with a jersey and a terrible towel… You’re covered from ears to toes in Steelers attire.
Steelers Cell Phone Case – I don’t know about you, but I am terrible with my cell phone. Especially on game day. It seems the combination of a Steelers game, beer, and a bunch of jumping up and down yelling and screaming is not good for cell phone health.
